Fracton Research is an R&D institution for a positive sum world through exploring inclusive coordination design. Our focus is to solve coordination problems and public goods problems such as the free-rider problem and tragedy of the commons, and to create positive externalities through coordination mechanisms based on blockchain: regenerative funding mechanisms, collective decision making, and other protocol design. Also, we will collaborate with profit/non-profit organizations, academic institutions, and government, so we will achieve them by getting experience and knowledge from practical fieldworks.
We are mainly contributing to public goods funding space and focusing on impact evaluation, impact measurement, and outcome measurement. As one of our work, we analyze Grants DAO and grants program. We aim to achieve a more effective and more fair grants program, and we are discovering the difference among various grants programs through quantitively cross-comparing these programs with focusing on the decision making bodies. In general, while each grants program is reviewed individually, quantitative comparisons among different grants programs are not usual. So, our R&D is useful for the future of Grants DAO.
And then, our team member has been contributing to the Polygon Community Grants Program as a reviewer. Also, other member has been building tools for quadratic funding and impact evaluator. So, we have a great experience and a skill as a DAO contributor and a builder.
We believe that we can definitely contribute to ecosystem growth in Scroll and Ethereum since we are familiar with grants program. Scroll aligns Ethereum itself and Ethereum ecosystem. So, as a digital public good, Scroll should use the funds for public goods funding, not only for the ecosystem growth. We have to incubate and grow Scroll DAO into a entity contributing to Ethereum and other public goods.
