Delegate Statement

Hello, I’m Seiryu. I am a researcher currently working at the PBS Foundation, a non-profit established to fund research in areas connected to PBS. I am a strong believer in rollups, as they are central to Ethereum’s roadmap for scaling. I aim to represent those who care about the sustainability of the network as much as I do. Being involved in research and non-profit work, I believe I can act within the DAO without conflicting incentives, fully committed to its best interests.

As a delegate, my focus is on community and growth. I believe there is a significant community presence in East Asia, but it is often fragmented and underrepresented compared to other regions in the ecosystem. My primary goal is to engage with these communities, support their development through grant programs, and help foster connections that encourage collaboration and innovation.

For growth, my main focus is research. I am deeply committed to advancing key principles such as censorship resistance, neutrality, and decentralization. I believe further research into decentralization, specifically research into shared sequencing, can significantly enhance security, censorship resistance, and neutrality for the benefit of everyone in the ecosystem.

Areas of interest: Economics, Decentralization, Neutrality, Privacy and ZK.

I will do my best to serve as a delegate and contribute to the development of the ecosystem, with a focus on research, growth and community. I speak Italian, English, and Japanese.

Top Issues

Community
Community
My main focus is on connecting communities in East Asia, which I could see are quite fragmented. Ultimately, my goal is to grow the global community while focusing on building a decentralized network that serves the best interests of Scroll.
Decentralization
Decentralization
1. Research into ways of decentralizing the sequencer must be a top priority. 2. Keeping the entry barrier for participating in the DAO low, enabling everyone to contribute
Privacy
Privacy
Privacy is a human right.
Security
Security
Ensuring that no DAO decisions compromise the protocol's security.
Experimentation
Experimentation
Experimentation drives innovation, allowing us to explore new ideas and foster growth.
Builders
Builders
Builders are the nexus of the protocol. I believe there are many builders contributing to the ecosystem who need more support. I aim to act as an intermediary for them, helping to amplify their contributions.
Governance
Governance
Make research grants impactful for the ecosystem by focusing on projects that aim to increase decentralization, security, and neutrality within the system.
